The goal of the Toward Tomorrow Project is to develop and promote a Common Agenda for action on environment and health. Project activities include:
Conducting oral histories with individuals whose work has substantially contributed to movements that seek economically, environmentally and socially equitable and sustainable systems of human activity.
Developing a Common Agenda for action on environmental and human health in the coming decades by drawing on the ideas and insights in the oral histories, and working with leaders from a range of organizations.
Disseminating the Common Agenda to a wide array of groups capable of advancing it through their education, outreach and advocacy activities.
The Toward Tomorrow initiative is a project of the Lowell Center for Sustainable Production at the School of Health and Environment, University of Massachusetts Lowell. It is guided by an advisory committee whose members represent a broad range of disciplines and experiences.
